CPR Tokyo are looking for an Account Manager to work across the agency's fashion accounts. 

From luxury accessories, RTW, to fine jewellery, you will be working closely with some of the world’s most exciting brands to grow and build them in the Japanese market.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Writing: The localisation and tailoring of press releases and pitches to the Japanese market

  • Pitching: News, product drops and campaigns across print, online, broadcast, national and consumer press, you will be media savvy, a creative thinker and able to place widespread client coverage in targeted publications.

  • Client management: Calls and emails from clients on day-to-day activity, as well as wider account management, strategy and forward planning.

  • Media monitoring: Coverage and reporting results to the team and clients

  • Events and Networking: Attending client and industry events, encouraged to meet with media regularly and build industry contacts

  • KOLs and Influencers: Where required, management of talent content, contracts and gifting for client campaigns

  • Client Events: Support the planning and execution of key clients events from press days, dinners and parties

  • Strategy: Consistent and proactive approach to client accounts, providing fresh ideas around overall strategies, specific campaigns and the localisation of international activations

Key Skills:

  • English and Japanese language fluency: You need to have excellent written and spoken English and Japanese.

  • Copywriting skills: Particular about spelling, grammar and proof-reading, as well as have a creative flair for producing engaging copy.

  • Presentation skills: Must be good at communicating ideas to the team, presenting strategies to clients and journalists, and organising information succinctly and concisely.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Approachable, friendly and empathetic, with the ability to relate to people on different levels within the agency, with clients and with the media.

  • Organisatioinal skills: You will often be working to tight media deadlines as well as meeting the demands and pressures of your team and clients, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality.

  • Microsoft (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Launchmetrics, mailing app experience preferred


A relevant undergraduate degree such as PR, journalism or English Literature is normally expected but not essential. 

Relevant Experience

At least 1 year prior experience working in a PR agency, press office or fast-paced media environment is required, as well as experience working on fashion accounts. Social media management and KOL strategy a bonus.
